Exploring the unconscious…

On a daily basis we are manipulated with information to conform to an idea, or a particular physical appearance, or how we should live our lives, etc.  If Freud was correct with his opinion that – the unconscious mind is a repository, (in part), for socially unacceptable ideas, wishes or desires, put out of mind by the mechanism of psychological repression – does this then translate that at some point we would break free of that repression and liberate our unique spark in some individualistic way – or will we continue to become a complete replication of each other in our need for acceptance. And what of our non-physical selves, our souls or spirit, does it follow that like the physical, the soul will also loose any semblance of individuality.
